Shine Across the Galaxy Pageant
This summer we are spreading the Smile & Shine galaxy to Riverview, NB and Beaver Bank, NS.
Step onto a stage inspired by stars, planets, comets, and constellations. Every participant brings their own light, and together we make our galaxy shine brighter than ever. In the Smile & Shine Galaxy, everyone is welcome, every light matters, and every star gets a chance to shine.

Smile & Shine is a natural pageant system open to participants of all ages. Our mission is to empower individuals, build confidence, foster friendships, and create a supportive community where every star has the opportunity to shine within the Smile & Shine Galaxy.
Each participant will leave at the end of the day with a crown, sash, special gift bag, new friends, and a fun filled day of core memories.
There will be one overall 'Royalty' awarded in each age group with the highest overall scores from our judges, who will also receive a royalty sash, crown, & special gift bag.

Formal Wear: Time to dress to impress! Rock your favorite dress, suit, or anything that makes you feel confident and classy.
Shine your Own Way Wear (Outfit of Choice): Choose an outfit that truly represents who you are. This is your moment to shine in something that makes you feel confident, authentic, and completely yourself. It can be bold, cozy, edgy, glamorous, sporty, whatever reflects you. Wear something that makes you light up the room!
Theme Wear: Blast off into a cosmic-inspired look! Think stars, astronauts, planets, moons, constellations, shimmering metallics, deep space blues and purples, anything you will see within the galaxy. Whether you channel a futuristic space explorer or a glowing cosmic queen, let your outfit be inspired by the magic and mystery of the galaxy.
Get ready to shine! Participants will take the stage to showcase three outfit categories throughout the day, showing off their style, confidence, and personality. We’re all about creating a supportive and empowering space for each participant to shine.
We don't want you to stress about needing to spend a lot of money on outfits. Consider using local resources! Check your closets first, thrift stores are great, your local 'Buy Nothing' page, FB Marketplace, or try borrowing items from family/friends, etc.
For each outfit category on stage, participants will do their walk on stage. We typically recommend a 'T' walk as it provides the perfect amount of time to shine, but it's fine if the participant ends up just doing their own thing!
Our 'T' walk recommendation with each X being a pause/pose to stop and shine. This gives the judges plenty of time to be able to write those special comments! We will have little marks for each x on the stage floor for reference. Enter/Exit sides may change from right/left based on the specific venue layout.

Got a special talent you'd love to show off? This optional category is your chance to shine! Whether it's dancing, singing, playing an instrument, telling jokes, performing martial arts, or any other hidden skill - we want to see it!
Talent will be grouped by ages:
0–5 ● 6–11 ● 12–16 ● 17–21 ● 22+
Each age group will have an overall award, and each participant will receive a medal for showcasing their talent for us!
(Talent is optional - It is judged and awarded separately from the main pageant categories)

Smiling & Shining isn't always just for our participants! We have recently added an optional add-on category for the Moms, the Grandmas, or Aunties! This is a perfect opportunity to have a magical moment shining on stage with your participant.
This add on category will consist of just ONE outfit category (Outfit of Choice) and a brief introduction about you.

With Smile & Shine being a natural pageant system, we want our participants to come as they feel comfortable. While makeup is not required, participants are welcome to wear natural light everyday makeup if they would like. The goal with pageantry makeup is to simply enhance your natural beauty.
One of Smile & Shine’s goals is to help participants build confidence in using their voice and speaking in front of others. To start simple, each participant (ages 4 and up) will share a brief introduction before their Formal Wear walk, and will answer a fun question before their Outfit of Choice walk.
Introductions can include your name, age, and something fun about yourself or a favorite hobby. Keep it short and sweet around 20 to 45 seconds, then enjoy your moment to shine on stage! Examples of questions will be provided in the welcome package that comes after registration, so you can practice and think about your special answers ahead of time.

At each pageant, we have 2-3 special guest judges who join us for the day. The judges will evaluate on various details such as outfits, confidence, personality, etc. and they also leave special comments on each participants sheet to leave with at the end of the day!

Main Registration Fee: $185
($60 of the fee is considered non-refundable deposit)

Siblings Discount: $25 off (each additional sibling)
Signing up for both dates (NB & NS): Save $20 on total registration

Cancellation before June 6th: Refund of registration fees paid (minus $60 non-refundable deposit)
Cancellation from June 7th to June 20th: $50 refund & $60 credit applied to account to use towards a future Smile & Shine Pageant.
Cancellation after June 21st: $60 credit applied to account to use towards a future Smile & Shine Pageant.
