Smile & Shine can't wait to host the Eras Tour Pageant right here in Nova Scotia for all of
our Atlantic Canada Swifties!
We are going to make the whole place shimmer!

Smile & Shine Pageantry is a natural pageant system for all ages. Our main goal is to help build self-confidence, empower one another, build friendships, and most importantly, to have fun! (Click here to learn more)
And what better way to do just that, then to spend an entire day surrounded by Taylor Swift music, Taylor inspired outfits,
decorations and other Swifties?!
Plus, we are doing something we have never done before, and hosting a friendship/swiftie party following the event!
Smile & Shine accepts participants of all ages.
There is no age limit to wanting a boost of
self-confidence, meeting new friends,
showcase some special outfits, or to have fun!
Age Categories:
0-21 months, 2-3 years, 4-5 years, 6-8 years, 9-11 years,
12-14 years, 15-17 years, 18-21 years, & 22+
Every participant will receive a crown & gift bag of gifts, there will be one overall 'royalty' in each age category that will receive a crown, sash, & gift bag of gifts.
*age categories are subject to change slightly based on registrations*

Participants showcase three different outfits throughout the day.
Formal Wear: A nice dress/suit that would be suitable for a wedding.
Casual Wear: Any stylish outfit, this could be your favorite outfit!
Theme Wear: This will be your Taylor/Favorite Era Inspired Outfit!

Please note:
We do not want you to stress about going out to stores buying fancy expensive dresses/outfits.
Consider using local resources- Thrift stores are great, your local 'Buy Nothing' page, Facebook Marketplace, or borrow clothing from family/friends, etc.

Fun Fact: Miss C thrifted all of her outfits for our Nova Scotia Under the Sea Pageant!
For each category, participants will walk on stage showcasing their outfits and personalities.
This will consist of a "T" walk, with each X being a pause/pose.
Enter/Exit sides are subject to change based on venue set up. It will be confirmed before pageant day, which side participants will be entering/exiting on.
Talent (Optional Add-on)
Participants can choose to add on a category to showcase their special talent.
*Taylor themed talents are encouraged, but not required!*
Dancing, singing, playing a musical instrument, joke telling,
martial arts, or any other hidden talent that
they may want to showcase to our judges!
Talent will run in four separate age groups,
there will be a top award for each age group.
4-8 ● 9-14 ● 15-21 ● 22+
(Talent is judged and awarded separately from the main pageant categories)
All participants will receive a medal for participating.
Music (if required) for talent is to be submitted at least 1 week before pageant.

Makeup guidelines
When it comes to pageantry makeup, the goal is to enhance your natural beauty. We do not recommend "Glitz & Glam" style, we want the individuals to come as they feel comfortable. While makeup is NOT required, this might include their daily 'natural' makeup routine, or they are welcome to wear light blush and/or lip gloss, etc. if they wish.

Introduction
Participants 4+ years will give a brief introduction before doing their formal wear walk on stage. This should include their name, age, something they like to do, and/or a fun fact about them.

On-Stage Question
Participants 4+ years will be asked an age appropriate question before doing their casual wear walk on stage. There will be an age category list of question examples provided to practice prior to pageant day.

Our judges panel will consist of 2-3 judges. The judges will evaluate participants outfits, confidence, personality, etc.

If you are still unsure what to expect prior to and on pageant day, do not worry! We will provide lots of information prior to pageant day, and we also have a private Facebook group with all Smile & Shine participants where you can meet others, read what everyone is up to & ask any questions!
Pageant friends are always willing to help!

There is a $50 non-refundable deposit due at time of registration to secure your spot.
Spots are limited for this enchanted event!
You do not need to stay at the Inn on Prince Hotel, but you will receive room block information after registering if you would like to stay the night before and/or after the pageant
